Locations & Maps

Emerald Meadows Subdivision was opened for home site sales in the spring of 1999 by developer Gary Stark of P&E Development. This beautiful community is located on the eastern outskirts of Granite City just five miles west of Collinsville, Il.. Within the southern boundary of the Village of Pontoon Beach, this rural 108 acre tract has exceptional access to numerous highways. On a clear day, there is a beautiful view of the arch and the St. Louis skyline.

This map illustrates a 30 mile radius from Emerald Meadows and about 25 minutes driving time in any direction. In as little as five minutes our residents can be driving on Interstates 270, 70, 55, or 255. It only takes 10 to 12 minutes to hit 64, 40 or 44, which makes our community extremely attractive for commuters who work in downtown St. Louis. So if you are tired of fighting the traffic and looking for a quiet new community to call home, we welcome you to Emerald Meadows.

Zoom in for a closer look at the area, one can appreciate this rural setting just outside the city. What was once premium farm land is now considered prime residential real estate, mostly due to the excellent highway access. Combine the advantages of accessibility with one of the lowest tax rates in the entire area, and it’s easy to see why Emerald Meadows (the star) is selling so rapidly! This map shows two golf course in less than 2.5 miles… The Legacy, and Arlington Country Club. The Gateway National Golf Course, one of the finest facilities in the greater St. Louis area is less than 5 miles away located at the western tip of Horseshoe Lake.

This magnified view defines the boundaries of state highways 162 & Horseshoe Lake Rd. (State A-35). Lake Dr. is the boundary to the east. City traffic doesn’t exist here as you can see. Lakeside Airport has been closed and no longer exists. Also, the railroad tracks running parallel to hwy 162 have been removed and made into a paved bike trail extending all the way up to Edwardsville, Il. Another trail under construction will run from Horseshoe Lake State Park up to Collinsville. To get information on these projects, go to bikeways.

The master plat is broken down into 8 phases of development. In the following pages you will be able to see a 3-D rendering of the community in it’s completed stages, a plat of each phase as it opens for sale, and a complete price listing of lots for sale.
